Karate Champion

It's been an exciting and eventful month for one of our DESign employees, who took part in the Japanese Karate Association (JKA) KZN Championships receiving 2 Gold medals - one for Fighting and another for Formed Movement.

Then after attending 4 training session with 2 JKA Masters from Japan,
he not only competed in the 2025 JKA World Federation Africa Cup in the Men's Black Belt Masters Division finishing in 12th place out of 39 competitors. But also had the prestigious honour of representing JKA South Africa as Judge for over 1 500 Novice (White to Purple Belt) competitors which took place on 8 allocated competition floors and where one of his students won 2 Gold medals and was crowned Africa Champion in her division!
